As a brand and as individuals we have very firm roots in UK dance music. Whether it's a grimey rave spot, muddy festival, or boat party in paradise, it's what we love and we have created this page to give something back to the community.
We've carefully selected our favourite up & coming Djs to offer you a variety of mixes to suit different tastes. Our aim has been to showcase different genres and vibes within UK dance music whilst offering something for everyone. If you're pre drinking for a night out or hungover the next day, you should be able to find the right mix for your current mood on this page.
Feel free to share the mixes and make sure to support the artists by following them on social media.
Shouts to Varndell for our autumn 2015 mix which offers half an hour of laid-back tracks from XXXY, Cyril Hahn, Four Tet, DJ Koze and more.
Over the past couple of years he has been steadily gaining recognition throughout Cardiff for his Bass/House/Techno productions as well as supporting Chris Lorenzo, Apexape, Kahn & Neek, Josh Butler and Ishmael.
Big ups to Paxman for his mix of bass heavy tracks for summer!
Based in Manchester, Paxman has worked with local nights Hit & Run and Lord Of The Tings, as well as playing around the UK supporting Dj EZ, My Nu Leng, Sticky, Toddla T, Oxide & Neutrino, Chimpo & more. His main interest lies in bass music ranging from 125 up to grime and dubstep, and in this mix he has included a variety of old and new tracks which have been going down well in his recent sets.
Massive shouts to Phrixus for doing a mix for us this week! Usually we'll write a short paragraph about the mix after listening to it, but this time we thought it's a better idea to hear the thought process behind the track selection from Phrixus himself:
"For me, I wanted to create a mix which represents what I'm about as an artist, as well as a tool to simply show off any ability I have as a DJ. As a result there's little in the way of an overarching genre dominating this mix, there's a bit of everything: Techno, House, Dubstep, Club, Trap, Footwork, call it what you want. For me there is a sound which links certain tunes and parts of these genres together, giving the mix cohesion whilst at the same time keeping it refreshing throughout. This is the aesthetic I try to apply to my production - the idea of breaking down the walls constructed by genres and instead identifying with (or inventing) a sound to create something more original. My sound is booty, a mishmash of everything weird, dark, bass heavy and ghetto-tinged. Hopefully this is something which I've managed to convey in the mix, but I'll let you be the judge of that!"
Listen below and enjoy!
Golesworthy has been doing the rounds for a couple of years now so we are delighted to have been treated to a 60 minute mix from him! Delivering a different vibe to our previous mixes, the mix features soulful funk and disco throughout to get you in the mood for a weekend boogie!
Pedaler delivers over half an hour of bass bangers, garage classics, and house beats for our latest mix. Enjoy, and make sure to show him support by following him online.
